DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WORK PRACTICES (PRAKERIN) INFORMATION SYSTEM BASED ON E-LEARNING MOODLE AT SMK SAINTREN AL-HASAN SURABAYA
Keterlibatan teknologi dalam pendidikan, membuat pendidikan yang saat ini berjalan semakin modern dan berdaya saing global. Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) sebagai salah satu program unggulan SMK, seharusnya dapat mewujudkan integrasi antara SMK dengan dunia kerja, serta membekali peserta didik dengan keterampilan kerja yang diperlukan di masa mendatang. Namun, pengelolaan PRAKERIN di SMK tidak luput dari berbagai permasalahan, mulai dari gap antara kompetensi peserta didik dengan kualifikasi industri yang cukup jauh, maupun pengelolaan PRAKERIN yang masih bersifat konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara diketahui bahwa pengelolaan PRAKERIN di SMK Saintren Al-Hasan Surabaya masih dilakukan secara konvensional, sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik kurang memahami mekanisme pelaksanaan PRAKERIN. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut ialah dengan melakukan pengembangan sistem informasi PRAKERIN SMK yang komunikatif, mudah dipahami, serta mampu memberikan informasi yang cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Praktek Kerja Industri (PRAKERIN) SMK Berbasis E-learning Moodle di SMK Saintren Al-Hasan dari aspek kegunaan, kevalidan, dan kepraktisannya melalui uji coba. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model waterfall. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sistem Informasi Praktek Kerja Industri (Simpati) telah memenuhi spesifikasi produk yang diharapkan oleh pihak SMK Saintren Al-Hasan Surabaya; Simpati memenuhi aspek kegunaan, karena Simpati memiliki fungsionalitas yang baik; Simpati dikatakan valid karena telah melalui proses uji coba dan memeroleh hasil yang terukur; Simpati dikatakan praktis karena mengubah pengelolaan PRAKERIN yang konvensional menjadi lebih modern dengan adanya penerapan teknologi.
The involvement of technology in education has made the current education system more modern and globally competitive. Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN), as one of the flagship programs in vocational high schools, is expected to realize the integration between vocational high schools and the working world, as well as equip students with the necessary work skills for the future. The management of PRAKERIN in vocational high schools is not without various issues, ranging from the significant gap between students' competencies and industrial qualifications, to the conventional nature of PRAKERIN management. Based on observations and interviews conducted with the Deputy Head of Industrial Relations (Hubin), the Deputy Head of Student Affairs, and the Deputy Head of Curriculum it is known that the management of PRAKERIN at SMK Saintren Al-Hasan Surabaya is still being carried out conventionally, causing students to have a limited understanding of the implementation mechanism of PRAKERIN. One of the efforts that can be made to overcome these problems is by developing a communicative and easily understandable information system for PRAKERIN in vocational high schools, capable of providing fast and accurate information. This research aims to develop an Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN) information system based on E-learning Moodle at SMK Saintren Al-Hasan and assess the feasibility of the developed PRAKERIN information system in terms of usability, validity, and practicality through testing. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the waterfall model. The results of this research are the Industrial Work Practices Information System (Simpati) has met the expected product specifications by SMK Saintren Al-Hasan Surabaya. Simpati has fulfilled the usability aspect due to its good functionality. It is considered valid as it has undergone testing and obtained measurable results. Furthermore, Simpati is considered practical as it transforms the conventional management of PRAKERIN into a more modern approach through the application of technology.
