REPRODUCTION OF VIOLENCE IN INTEGRATIVE THEMATIC EDUCATION
(Study at SDN Banaran 02, Kediri Regency)
Integrative thematic education has contributed to the reproduction of symbolic violence through the habitus of the dominant class. This is because not all agents are able to accumulate appropriate capital and habitus. Therefore, this study identifies parental capital as a representation of students and teachers as educational agents. The method used is qualitative with the structuralism approach of Pierre Bourdieu's generative. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Pierre Bourdieu's theory of reproduction and symbolic violence was used as a research analysis knife. The results showed that popular class students were less able to occupy legitimized habitus in the integrative thematic education arena, so that the practices carried out were considered not in accordance with the domain they occupied. This is because the parents of popular class students do not have sufficient capital accumulation to pass on appropriate habitus in the realm of education. Meanwhile, students from the petty bourgeoisie class who have sufficient capital accumulation and habitus suitability are considered to have appropriate practices in the realm of education, so they rarely get symbolic violence. The forms of symbolic violence that are reproduced are social class in the classroom that is carried out by teachers to popular class students, as well as a number of gender biases through the inheritance of family habitus, as well as story texts in thematic books.
