Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan e-book interaktif pada materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA yang layak secara teoretis berdasarkan hasil validasi dari aspek penyajian, isi, dan kebahasaan, serta layak secara empiris berdasarkan keterbacaan, keterlaksanaan, hasil keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dilatihkan, dan respons siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dengan menggunakan model menggunakan 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) namun, tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Pengembangan e-book interaktif ini dilakukan di Gedung IsDB Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan uji coba terbatas dlakukan pada 20 siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Bangsal. Parameter kelayakan dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil validasi, keterbacaan, keterlaksanaan, hasil keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dilatihkan, dan respons siswa terhadap e-book interaktif. Analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validitas e-book interaktif oleh tiga dosen ahli mendapatkan persentase rata-rata keseluruhan 100% dengan kategori sangat valid, keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan mencapai keterbacaan pada level 10 artinya sesuai digunakan untuk kelas X SMA, keterlaksanaan e-book interaktif oleh tiga pengamat mendapatkan persentase rata-rata keselururhan 100% dengan interpretasi sangat aktif, hasil latihan berpikir kritis pada indikator interpretasi mendapatkan persentase rata-rata 90%; analisis 92%; inferensi 88%; evaluasi 100%; eksplanasi 80%, dan regulasi diri 100%, serta respons siswa menunjukkan persentase 98,3% sehingga termasuk kategori sangat positif.
The purpose of this study was to produce interactive e-book in the biodiversity to train the critical thinking of 10th grade high school students that were theoretical feasibility of interactive e-book based on validation results on the presentation aspect, content aspect, and language aspect as well as empirical feasibility based on the readability, students activity, and the student responses. This research was a development research using referred to 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), but disseminate phase was not done. The development of this e-book interactive was conducted in the Islamic Development Bank of Surabaya University State and limited trial was conducted on 20 students in SMAN 1 Bangsal 10th grade. The parameters of feasibility in this study based on validation, readability, students activity, result of critical thinking skill and student reponses to interactive e-books. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results of the research on the validity of the interactive e-books by three expert lecturers get on overall percentage of 100% with a very valid category, readability indicate that the interactive e-books developed reaches readability at level 10 meaning that it is suitable for use in class X high school, the implementation of interactive e-books by three observers get an average percentage of 100% overal with a very active interpretation, the results of the critical thinking exercise on the interpretation indicator get an average percentages of 90%; analysis 92%; inference 88%; 100% evaluation; explanation 80%, and self regulation 100%, and student responses showed a percentages of 98,3% so that it is included in the very positive category.
