Perancangan Animasi 2D sebagai Sarana Edukasi Kesadaran Lingkungan di Hutan Mangrove Wonorejo
Designing 2D Animation as a Means of Environmental Awareness Education in the Wonorejo Mangrove Forest
Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan animasi 2D sebagai media edukatif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Wonorejo tentang pentingnya pelestarian hutan mangrove. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah dampak negatif sampah plastik terhadap ekosistem mangrove, yang krusial sebagai penyerap karbon, pelindung abrasi, dan habitat alami.
Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan metode 5W+1H untuk identifikasi masalah dan solusi. Proses perancangan animasi melibatkan riset, pembuatan storyboard, serta desain karakter dan ilustrasi bergaya semi-flat yang menarik bagi anak-anak dan remaja.
Melalui penyajian visual dan naratif yang efektif, animasi ini diharapkan mampu mengkomunikasikan bahaya sampah plastik terhadap mangrove dan mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan berkontribusi pada inovasi media edukasi lingkungan dan mendukung pengurangan pencemaran di kawasan mangrove.
This research focuses on the development of 2D animation as an educational media to raise awareness of the Wonorejo community about the importance of mangrove forest conservation. The main issue raised was the negative impact of plastic waste on the mangrove ecosystem, which is crucial as a carbon sink, abrasion protector, and natural habitat.
A qualitative approach was used with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the 5W+1H method to identify problems and solutions. The animation design process involved research, storyboarding, and character design and illustrations in a semi-flat style that appeals to children and teenagers.
Through effective visual and narrative presentation, this animation is expected to communicate the dangers of plastic waste to mangroves and encourage active community participation in environmental conservation. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the innovation of environmental education media and support the reduction of pollution in mangrove areas.
