This research aims to determine the effect of the application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models to the motivation and learning outcomes of students in English lessons The design of this study used a quasi-experimental research method to be able to find out the change in behavior in the research subjects, namely the students of Class X in SMAN 1 Sidoarjo. The design used is the Non Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group Design.
The results obtained are as follows: the
average Test Subject Effect the effect of student learning outcomes on the CIRC
method was 0,000 so that Ha is accepted and it is concluded that there is an
influence of learning material on learning methods on student learning outcomes
by 0.06%. In general, there is an effect of CIRC learning material on learning
outcomes, but in multiple comparisons CIRC writing-speaking material shows
0.503 there is no influence. The CIRC writing-reading material proves that the
result of 0,000 shows that there is a significant influence as well as a
significant influence on the speaking-reading material.
The learning material on the learning method shows
0.183 which means that there is no influence on the achievement of the learning
outcomes of the X-IPA-1 and X-IPA-2 classes. Students who have high learning
motivation show better learning outcomes than students who have low learning motivation.
