Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk menjelaskan adanya perbedaan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Sidodadi II/154 Surabaya antara pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe course review horay berbantuan media powerpoint dan model diskusi dalam pembelajaran IPS tema Pahlawanku; 2) untuk menjelaskan adanya perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN Sidodadi II/154 Surabaya antara pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe course review horay berbantuan media powerpoint dan model diskusi dalam pembelajaran IPS tema Pahlawanku.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan ialah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas IV SDN Sidodadi II/154 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada variabel aktivitas ialah menggunakan lembar observasi, dan untuk variabel ketrampilan berpikir kritis menggunakan lembar soal pretest dan posstest. Analisis data untuk menjawab hipotesis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik uji-t (t-test).

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pada aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil analisis nilai N-gain kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai 0,40 yang artinya peningkatan berkategori sedang. Pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai N-gain sebesar 0,19 yang artinya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas kontrol berkategori rendah. Selanjutnya hasil analisis statistik deskriptif data ketrampilan berpikir kritis menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, yakni sebesar 14,88 dimana di kelas eksperimen sebesar 86,70 dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 71,85. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe course review horay berbantuan media powerpoint berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPS tema Pahlawanku.

This research purposes 1) to explain the differences in learning activities of fourth grade students of SDN Sidodadi II / 154 Surabaya between learning with cooperative learning model of course review horay supported by PowerPoint Media and discussion models in social studies learning theme of my hero; 2) to explain the differences in critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of SDN Sidodadi II / 154 Surabaya between learning with cooperative learning model of course review horay supported by PowerPoint Media and discussion models in social studies learning themes of my hero.

This research is used kuantitative approach by experiment research method. Using design of Nonequivalent control group design. The research subject is grade 4 students of SDN Sidodado II/154 Surabaya. Collecting data technique of activity variable uses observation sheet and for critical thinking creativity is used pretest and posttest. Data analysis to prove the hypothesis use descriptive statistic and T-test statistic.

The research result shows that there is enhancement of students activity  treatment. The results of the N-gain value analysis the experiment class shows a value of 0.40 which means an increase in the medium category. In the control class, the N-gain value was 0.19, which means an increase in student learning activities in the low category for control class. Further more the result of critical thinking creativity descriptive analysis shows that there is different of control class and experiment class, about 14,88 which experiment class with 86,70 and controll class with 71,85. Based on the analysis results, they can be concluded that cooperative learning model of Course Review Horay supported by PowerPoint Media Media influences learning activities and critical thinking skills of fourth grade students in social studies learning theme of my hero.
