SAMBA PARIA SEBAGAI SUMBER IDE HIASAN PADA BUSANA PENGANTIN 

PARIA SEBAGAI SUMBER IDE MOTIF BROKAT PADA BUSANA PESTA

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hasil jadi penerapan hiasan bordir dari stilasi tumbuhan paria pada busana pesta wanita. Dengan Metode Double Diamond Model (Ledbury,2017) yang terdiri dari Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver. Untuk awal pembahasan penulis memilih sumber ide Paria. Paria sendiri diambil dari tokoh Putri Samba Paria dari cerita rakyat daerah Mandar, Sulawesi Barat. Putri Samba Paria tinggal disebuah gubuk didalam hutan, disekitar gubuk tersebut dikelilingi tumbuhan Paria. Tahap berikutnya menentukan desain dan kriteria desain sesuai sumber ide yang ditentukan, dan akan dibahas pada tahab Define dengan teori FEA (function, aesthetic, expressive). Selanjutnya pembuatan prototipe hiasan dengan memilih hiasan bordir, terinspirasi dari tanaman paria yang distilasi kebentuk baru. Hasil jadi stilasi tanaman paria diterapkan pada busana pesta dan akan dianalisis dengan teori FEA. Busana pesta ini memiliki fungsi sebagai busana yang dikenakan pada acara pesta siang. Siluet yang diterapkan pada busana pesta yakni siluet I dengan model rok mermaid, untuk menunjukkan kesan langsing dan feminim . Proses pembuatan detile motif dengan teknik bordir yang terinspirasi dari tanaman paria dilekatkan pada busana pesta wanita menggunakan tusuk sulam tangan atau tusuk sembunyi. Juga ada penambahan payet tabur dibagian garis hias princess bahu pada muka.

The purpose of the study was to determine the final result of the application of embroidered ornaments from the stylized pariah plant on women’s party clothes. With thw Double Diamond Model Method (Ledbury,2017) which consists of Discover,Define,Develop and Delive. For the beginning of the discussion, the author shooses the source of Paria’s ideas. Paria it self is taken from the character Putri Samba Paria from the folklore of the Mandar area, West Sulawesi. The Princess Samba Paria lives in a hut in the forest, around the hut surrounded by paria plants. The next stage is to determine the design and design criteria according to the specified idea source, and will be discussed at the Difine stage with FEA theory (Function, Aesthetic, Expressive). The next step is making a decoration prototype by choosing embroidery decoration, inspired by the paria plant which has been distilled into other shapes. The stylized results of the paria plant are applied to party clothes and will be analyzed using the FEA theory. This party dress has a function as a dress worn at an afternoon party. The silhouette applied to the party dress is silhouette I and the mermaid skirt model, is to show a slim and faminine impression. The process of making detailed motive whit  embroidery techniques inspired by the paria plant is attached to women’s party dress using hand embroidery stitches or hidden stitches. There is also the addition of sequins on the princess shoulder line on the face.
