ILLOCUTIONARY SPEECH ACTS OF CHARACTERS IN THE NOVEL "MAAF UNTUK PAPA" BY RIA RICIS: A PRAGMATIC STUDY

Penelitian berjudul “Tindak Tutur Ilokusi Tokoh-Tokoh dalam Novel “Maaf untuk Papa” Karya Ria Ricis: Kajian Pragmatik” ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi, 2) mendeskripsikan fungsi dari tindak tutur ilokusi pada percakapan antartokoh maupun tuturan individu dari masing-masing tokoh dalam novel “Maaf untuk Papa” karya Ria Ricis. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pragmatik yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah novel “Maaf untuk Papa” karya Ria Ricis, sedangkan data dari penelitian ini berupa tuturan atau kalimat percakapan tokoh maupun antartokoh dalam novel “Maaf untuk Papa” karya Ria Ricis yang mengandung bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik pilah unsur penentu (PUP). Instrumen data yang digunakan berupa tabel klasifikasi bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi dalam novel “Maaf untuk Papa” karya Ria Ricis. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi asertif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif berdasarkan teori Searle, serta fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi kompetitif, menyenangkan, dan bekerja sama menurut kategori Leech dalam novel “Maaf untuk Papa” karya Ria Ricis. Temuan tindak tutur ilokusi asertif dengan kategori bekerja sama dalam penelitian ini berupa fungsi, 1) menyatakan, 2) menginstruksikan, 3) mengeluh, 4) mengemukakan pendapat, 5) melaporkan. Temuan tindak tutur ilokusi komisif dengan kategori menyenangkan dalam penelitian ini berupa fungsi, 1) menjanjikan, 2) menawarkan, 3) mengajak. Temuan tindak tutur ilokusi ekspresif dengan kategori menyenangkan dalam penelitian ini berupa fungsi, 1) menyapa , 2) mengucapkan Terima kasih, 3) mengucapkan selamat, 4) meminta maaf, 5) mengucapkan belasungkawa, 6) memanjatkan doa, 7) memuji. Temuan tindak tutur ilokusi direktif dengan kategori kompetitif dalam penelitian ini berupa fungsi, 1) memberi nasihat, 2) menganjurkan.

The research entitled "Illocution Speech Actions of Characters in the Novel "Maaf for Papa" by Ria Ricis: A Pragmatic Study" aims to 1) describe the form of illocution speech, 2) describe the function of illocution speech in conversations between characters and individual speech of each character in the novel "Sorry for Papa" by Ria Ricis. This research method uses pragmatic research that is qualitative descriptive. The data source used in this study is the novel "Maaf for Papa" by Ria Ricis, while the data from this study is in the form of speech or conversation sentences between characters and between characters in the novel "Maaf for Papa" by Ria Ricis which contains the form and function of illocution speech. The data collection technique used in this study is reading and recording techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is the determinant element sorting technique (PUP). The data instrument used is in the form of a classification table of the form and function of illocution speech in the novel "Sorry for Papa" by Ria Ricis. The results of the research found are the forms of assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative illocution speech based on Searle's theory, as well as the function of competitive, fun, cooperative, and contradictory illocution speech according to the Leech category in the novel "Sorry for Papa" by Ria Ricis. The findings of assertive illocution speech with the category of cooperation in this study are in the form of functions, 1) present, 2) instruct, 3) complain, 4) expressing opinions, 5) reporting. The findings of commissive illocution speech with a fun category in this study are in the form of functions, 1) promise, 2) offer, 3) invite. The findings of expressive illocution speech with a fun category in this study are in the form of functions, 1) greeting, 2) thanks, 3) congratulations, 4) apology, 5) condolences, 6) prayers, 7) praise. The findings of directive illocution speech with a competitive category in this study are in the form of functions, 1) giving advice, 2) encourage. The findings of declarative illocution speech with conflicting categories in this study are in the form of an isolation function.
