PENGARUH TIPE KEPRIBADIAN HOLLAND DAN PROGRAM PKL TERHADAP KESIAPAN KARIER MAHASISWA JURUSAN PENDIDIKAN ADMINISTRASI PERKANTORAN DI UNIVERSITAS NEGERI SURABAYA
THE INFLUENCE OF HOLLAND'S PERSONALITY TYPE AND PROGRAM PKL ON THE CAREER READINESS OF STUDENTS MAJORING IN OFFICE ADMINISTRATION EDUCATION AT SURABAYA STATE UNIVERSITY
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tipe kepribadian Holland dan program Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) terhadap kesiapan karier mahasiswa pada jurusan Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya kesiapan karier sebagai salah satu indikator keberhasilan pendidikan tinggi dalam mencetak lulusan yang siap menghadapi dunia kerja. Kesiapan karier mahasiswa tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti kepribadian, tetapi juga oleh faktor eksternal berupa pengalaman praktik di dunia kerja melalui PKL Mandiri. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi linier berganda. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 185 mahasiswa, dan jumlah sampel ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 127 responden. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert, yang mengukur tiga variabel utama yaitu tipe kepribadian Holland (X1), program PKL Mandiri (X2), dan kesiapan karier mahasiswa (Y). Uji validitas dan reliabilitas dilakukan untuk memastikan keandalan instrumen, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji parsial (t-test) dan uji simultan (F-test). iii Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipe kepribadian Holland berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan karier mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang memahami tipe kepribadiannya (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, dan Conventional) cenderung memiliki arah karier yang lebih jelas dan tingkat kepercayaan diri yang tinggi. Selain itu, program PKL Mandiri juga memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kesiapan karier, di mana pengalaman praktik langsung di dunia kerja mampu meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi, keterampilan teknis, serta sikap profesional mahasiswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kesiapan karier mahasiswa terbentuk melalui perpaduan antara pemahaman diri dan pengalaman nyata. Oleh karena itu, lembaga pendidikan perlu memberikan dukungan optimal dalam pelaksanaan program PKL serta menyediakan layanan konseling karier berbasis kepribadian agar mahasiswa lebih siap menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang dinamis.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Holland's personality type and the Field Work Practice (PKL) program on the career readiness of students in the Department of Office Administration Education, State University of Surabaya. The background of this research departs from the importance of career readiness as one of the indicators of the success of higher education in producing graduates who are ready to face the world of work. Students' career readiness is not only influenced by internal factors such as personality, but also by external factors in the form of practical experience in the world of work through Independent Street Vendors. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. The research population was 185 students, and the number of samples was determined using the Slovin formula so that 127 respondents were obtained. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which measured three main variables, namely Holland's personality type (X1), the Independent Street Vendor program (X2), and the student's career readiness (Y). Validity and reliability tests were carried out to ensure the reliability of the i instruments, while data analysis was carried out using partial tests (t-test) and simultaneous tests (F-tests). The results of the study show that Holland's personality type has a positive and significant effect on students' career readiness. Students who understand their personality types (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) tend to have a clearer career direction and a higher level of confidence. In addition, the Field Work Practice (PKL)program also has a significant positive influence on career readiness, where direct practical experience in the world of work is able to improve students' adaptability, technical skills, and professional attitudes. These findings confirm that students' career readiness is formed through a combination of self-understanding and real experience. Therefore, educational institutions need to provide optimal support in the implementation of Field Work Practice (PKL) program and provide personality-based career counseling services so that students are better prepared to face the challenges of the dynamic world of work.
