This study aims to develop the TRECB character education model to
realize the comprehensive habituation of the Pancasila Student Profile at the
elementary school level , ensuring it is valid, practical, and effective. The
absence of a clear standard for implementing character education in elementary
schools motivated this research. The research employed a research and
development approach using the Dick and Carey model. The model trial included
individual trials with three fourth-grade students from SD Labschool UNESA,
small group trials with ten fourth-grade students from SD Labschool UNESA, and
field trials with thirty fourth-grade students from SD Khotidjah III Surabaya.
The effectiveness of the model was tested with thirty fourth-grade students
from SDIT At-Taqwa Surabaya. Data collection techniques included interviews,
observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using paired
samples t-test and MAXQDA. Based on the research results, the validity of the
TRECB model book achieved a validation score of 3.54 (valid), the validity of
the teaching module was 3.77 (very valid), and the validity of the LKPD was
3.58 (valid). The practicality of the TRECB model, based on individual trial
results, received a score of 95.83% (very practical), small group trials scored
96.25% (very practical), and field trials scored 94.47% (very practical). The
TRECB model, based on paired samples t-test results with a significance of
0.000, the N-Gain test score of 0.43 (moderate effectiveness), and MAXQDA
analysis, was concluded to be effective in realizing the habituation of the
Pancasila Student Profile in elementary school students. The developed TRECB
syntax includes: introduction, practice, repetition, habituation,
internalization, and evaluation. Therefore, it is concluded that the TRECB
model is feasible, practical, and effective to be applied in learning to
realize the comprehensive habituation of the Pancasila Student Profile in
elementary schools.
