IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER PRAMUKA DI UPT SD NEGERI 18 GRESIK
IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH SCOUT EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT UPT 18 GRESIK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka di UPT SD Negeri 18 Gresik dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian yaitu pembina pramuka, kepala sekolah, guru, siswa dan orang tua siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan observasi non participant, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan data reduksi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka pada lima karakter yaitu religius, jujur, disiplin, mandiri dan tanggung jawab diterapkan dengan menggunakan strategi pengarahan, pembiasaan, permainan dan pemberian nasihat yang dilakukan secara terus-menerus. Kerja sama antara pembina pramuka, sekolah, orangtua sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung agar pendidikan karakter dapat berjalan dengan optimal.
This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through scouting extracurricular activities at UPT 18 Gresik elementary school and describe the student responses to scouting extracurricular activities. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Informants in the study are scoutmaster, headmaster, teacher, students and parents of students. Collecting data in research using non-participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. In the implementation of character education through scout extracurricular activities on five characters namely religious, honest, disciplined, independent and responsibility is applied by using the strategy of direction, habituation, play and giving advice that is carried out continuously. Cooperation between scoutmaster, schools, parents is needed to support so that character education can be more optimally.
