THE ROLE OF BIMA AMORA FOOTBALL SCHOOL IN
DEVELOPING CHILDREN’S DISCIPLINE AND LEARNING
MOTIVATION IN MENGANTI DISTRICT, GRESIK REGENCY
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran Sekolah
Sepak Bola (SSB) Bima Amora di Kecamatan Menganti,
Kabupaten Gresik dalam membentuk kedisiplinan dan
meningkatkan motivasi belajar para siswa. Penelitian ini
dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pembinaan karakter anak sejak
usia dini, serta meningkatnya minat terhadap pendidikan
nonformal berbasis olahraga.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis
studi deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari pelatih, siswa, dan
orang tua siswa di SSB Bima Amora. Teknik pengumpulan data
dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan
dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles
dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan
penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program latihan di SSB
Bima Amora secara signifikan membentuk kedisiplinan siswa
melalui rutinitas yang terstruktur dan penegakan aturan yang
konsisten. Nilai-nilai seperti tanggung jawab, ketepatan waktu,
dan ketaatan terhadap instruksi berhasil ditanamkan melalui
latihan dan pembiasaan. Selain itu, motivasi belajar siswa juga
meningkat, baik dari faktor internal seperti kesadaran diri dan
rasa percaya diri, maupun faktor eksternal seperti dorongan dari pelatih dan dukungan dari lingkungan sekolah. Temuan ini
mendukung pentingnya kolaborasi antara pendidikan nonformal
dan formal dalam membentuk peserta didik yang berprestasi dan
berkarakter.

This study aims to describe the role of the Bima Amora Football School
(SSB) in Menganti District, Gresik Regency, in shaping students'
discipline and enhancing their learning motivation. The background of
this research is the growing importance of character education from an
early age and the increasing interest in non-formal, sports-based
education.
This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive study
design. The subjects consisted of coaches, students, and parents at SSB
Bima Amora. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth
interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles
and Huberman model, which involves data reduction, data display, and
conclusion drawing.
The findings reveal that the training programs at SSB Bima Amora
significantly contribute to developing students’ discipline through
structured routines and consistent enforcement of rules. Values such as
responsibility, punctuality, and obedience to instructions are
successfully instilled through regular practice and reinforcement. In
addition, students’ learning motivation also increases, driven by both
internal factors such as self-awareness and confidence, as well as
external support from coaches and school environments. These findings
highlight the importance of collaboration between non-formal and formal education in nurturing academically successful and well-charactered
learners.
