Dampak Latihan Interval Training dan Latihan Push Up Terhadap Kebugaran Fisik Remaja
The Impact Of Interval Training and Push Up Exercise On Adolescent Physical Fitness
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi efektivitas interval training dan push-up dalam meningkatkan kebugaran fisik remaja, khususnya kapasitas kardiovaskular dan kekuatan otot tubuh bagian atas. WHO mencatat bahwa lebih dari 80% remaja berusia 11–17 tahun di seluruh dunia tidak mencapai standar aktivitas fisik harian yang direkomendasikan dan hal ini berdampak pada kebugaran yang rendah. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) adalah sistem latihan intensitas tinggi dengan periode istirahat singkat yang telah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kebugaran kardiovaskular dan kekuatan otot. Tingkat kebugaran diuji dalam penelitian ini melalui tes lari 12 menit dan push-up. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data uji lari 12 menit berdistribusi normal, sehingga dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan memberikan tingkat signifikansi 0,001 (p < 0,05). Di sisi lain, data uji push-up tidak terdistribusi secara normal dan dianalisis menggunakan uji wilcoxon signed rank test dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,019 (p < 0,05). Kedua hasil tersebut signifikan, sehingga Ha diterima sementara Ho ditolak. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa kombinasi interval training dan push-up dapat meningkatkan kebugaran fisik secara keseluruhan pada remaja.

The study aims to identify the effectiveness of interval training and push-up in improving the physical fitness of adolescents, particularly their cardiorespiratory capacity and upper body muscle strength. The WHO observes that more than 80% of adolescents aged 11–17 years globally do not meet the recommended daily physical activity standards, which affects their low fitness levels. HIIT is a high intensity exercise system with short rest periods that has been proven effective in improving cardiorespiratory fitness and muscle strength. Fitness levels were assessed in this study using a 12 minute run test and a 1 minute push up. Normality tests showed that the run test data were normally distributed and were therefore analyzed using a paired t-test, yielding a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.05). On the other hand, the push-up test was not normally distributed and was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of 0.019 (p < 0.05). Both results were significant, so Hₐ was accepted while H₀ was rejected. These results confirm that the combination of interval training and push-ups can improve the overall physical fitness of adolescents.
