Improvement of Student Critical Thinking Skills Through Structured Inquiry Model on Global Warming
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur pada materi pemanasan global. Penelitian ini menggunakan One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Designs. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan metode tes tulis, observasi, dan survei. Subjek pada penelitian ini ialah peserta didik kelas tujuh yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang memperoleh N-gain dengan kriteria tinggi 0,86. Implementasi pembelajaran dengan model ini memperoleh hasil dalam kategori sangat baik dengan peserta didik memberikan respons positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi pemanasan global.

This research aims to describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by applying a structured inquiry learning model on global warming material. This research uses one group pre-test posttest designs. Data collection techniques used by the method of written tests, observation, and surveys. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students totaling 31 students. The results showed that there was an increase in critical thinking skills of students who obtained N-gain with high criteria of 0.86. The implementation of learning with this model obtained results in the excellent category with students giving a positive response to the application of the structured inquiry learning model. Therefore, the structured inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on global warming material.
