The Parenting Program of Sekolah
Orang Tua Hebat (SOTH) represents an implementation of non-formal education
aimed at educating parents, specifically those with toddlers. This study
focuses on analyzing the implementation of the Parenting Program at Sekolah
Orang Tua Hebat (SOTH) in enhancing Parenting skills in Kedungsoko Village,
Plumpang Subdistrict, Tuban Regency. The program is considered a highly active
community initiative supported by the local government. This research examines
the stages of program implementation, including planning, execution, and
evaluation, while also exploring the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Parenting
Program implementation. The research subjects consist of the village head,
parent participants, the SOTH leader, and facilitator cadres. A qualitative
approach was employed in this study, utilizing data collection techniques such
as interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques
include data condensation, data display, verification, and conclusion drawing.
To ensure data validity, credibility, transferability, dependability, and
confirmability tests were applied. The results of the study show that the SOTH
program has a positive impact on improving parents' skills and attitudes toward
Parenting. This outcome is based on the program's stages of planning,
implementation, and evaluation. Supporting factors include government support,
the availability of modules, and the active role of facilitators, while
challenges include participants' time constraints and limited infrastructure.
Through the SOTH program, parents gain a better understanding of the importance
of quality Parenting to support children's optimal development across physical,
emotional, social, and cognitive aspects. The findings of this study are
expected to serve as a reference for developing similar Parenting programs in
other regions and provide insights for the community in improving family
education quality.
