POJOK BUKU SMART SCHOOL SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN LITERASI MELALUI PANGGUNG CERITA DI SEKOLAH DASAR
THE SMART SCHOOL BOOK CORNER AS AN EFFORT FOR ENHANCING LITERACY THROUGH STORY PLATFORM IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) adalah upaya pemerintah dalam menuntaskan masalah literasi. Pojok buku smart school menjadi salah satu upaya implementasi GLS berfokus meningkatkan keterampilan literasi di sekolah dasar. Melalui kegiatan panggung cerita, peserta didik dapat mengimplementasikan hasil kegiatan literasi dengan suka cita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pojok buku smart school melalui panggung cerita, implementasi panggung cerita dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi peserta didik, serta analisis kendala selama kegiatan implementasi panggung cerita di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa: 1) Pojok buku smart school memiliki agenda unggulan, yaitu panggung cerita; 2) Implementasi pojok buku smart school melalui panggung cerita mampu meningkatkan minat literasi peserta didik; 3) Kendala yang terdapat pada pelaksanaan panggung cerita adalah keterbatasan waktu dan jenis buku yang kurang bervariasi. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah adanya dampak positif pojok buku smart school dalam meningkatkan literasi peserta didik di sekolah dasar.
The Literacy School Movement (GLS) is the government’s effort for solving literacy problem. The smart school book corner is one of its implementations which it focusses on increasing literacy skill in elementary school. By story platform activity, students implement the result of literacy activity with high enthusiasm. The aim of this research is for describing the concept of smart school book corner through story platform, its implementation for rising students’ literacy skill, and the analysis of obstacles during the activity of story platform implementation in elementary school. The research utilizes a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, while the technic of data collection is observations, interviews, and documentations. The results are: 1) The smart school book corner has an excellent agenda, which is a story platform; 2) The application of smart school book corner through story platform increases students’ literacy interest; 3) The main constrains in execution of story platform are time limitations and minimal selections of books. In conclusion, there are advantages of smart school book corner through story platform for increasing students’ literacy in elementary school.
