ABSTRACT
Listari, Tria. Development of GeoLegend Media to
Enhance Learning Interest, Self-Efficacy, and Student Learning Outcomes in
Geography Subject on Indonesia's Strategic Position Material for Class XI at
SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro . Thesis. Faculty of Social and Political
Sciences. 2025
Learning diagnostic data at
SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro in 2023 showed that 55% of students had low
learning interest and 60% of students lacked confidence in their academic
abilities, while the average pre-test score was 55. To address this issue, innovative
learning media is needed by adapting popular game themes familiar to Generation
Z. This media is designed to increase learning interest, self-efficacy, and
student learning outcomes relevant to their needs. The research method used the
ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation)
involving validity tests by media and content experts. Field trials were
conducted on 38 students at SMANMT using questionnaire and test instruments.
Data analysis involved percentage calculations and Independent T-test to
measure effectiveness.
The research results show
that GeoLegend is highly feasible to use with a feasibility rate of 89.99% from
media experts and 94.79% from content experts. It also proved to increase
learning interest with a score of 85.91% in the experimental class, compared to
68.87% in the control class. Students' self-efficacy also increased
significantly, with a score of 85.05% in the experimental class compared to
64.37% in the control class. The T-test showed a significant mean difference of
21.87 with significance < 0.001, indicating a substantial influence. These
results prove that GeoLegend effectively increases learning interest,
self-efficacy, student learning outcomes, and is relevant to modern educational
needs. Multidisciplinary collaboration is recommended for further learning
media development.
