ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR ABSTRAK SISWA SETELAH MENGIKUTI PEMBELAJARAN SAINTIFIK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir asbtrak siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran saintifik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 9 Kota Mojokerto sebanyak 35 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan sudah divalidasi oleh dosen berupa tes kemampuan berpikir abstrak siswa dengan jumlah 22 butir soal, tes kemampuan berpikir saintifik siswa berjumlah 20 butir soal, lembar obsvervasi pembelajaran, lembar obsvervasi RPP dan lembar wawancara kepada Guru IPA. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir abstrak siswa VIII-A sudah dalam tahapan berpikir konkret (C2), dan sebagian sudah pada tahap yang lebih tinggi yaitu berpikir abstrak (A1) dan berpikir abstrak (A2). Hal ini ditunjukkan bahwa siswa sudah memenuhi 9 aspek berpikir abstrak yaitu classificational reasoning, seriational reasoning, conservational reasoning, probality reasoning, proportional reasoning, combinatorial reasoning, correlational reasoning, hingga controlling variable. Faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam kemampuan berpikir saintifik siswa adalah pembelajaran yang dilakukan yaitu pembelajaran saintifik itu sendiri, selain itu faktor inteligensi siswa dimana siswa kelas VIII-A adalah kumpulan siswa unggulan yang berada dalam satu kelas.

ANALYSIS OF STUDENT’S ABSTRACT THINKING SKILL AFTER FOLLOWING SAINTIFIC LEARNING

This study aims to describe the students ability to asbtrack thinking skills after participating in scientific learning. This type of research uses descriptive research. The research subjects used were class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 9 Mojokerto as many as 35 students. The instrument used was validated by lecturers in the form of abstract thinking abilities of students with 22 items, students with 20 scientific questions on thinking ability, observation learning sheets, RPP observation sheets and interview sheets for natural science teachers. The results of the data analysis showed that the ability of abstract thinking of VIII-A students was already in the stages of concrete thinking (C2), and some were at a higher stage, namely abstract thinking (A1) and abstract thinking (A2). This shows that students have fulfilled 9 aspects of abstract thinking, namely classificational reasoning, seriational reasoning, conservational reasoning, probality reasoning, proportional reasoning, combinatorial reasoning, correlational reasoning, to controlling variables. The influencing factor in students' scientific thinking ability is learning done, which is scientific learning itself, besides the student's intelligence factor, where students in class VIII-A are a group of excellent students who are in one class
