Penelitian ini dilakukan karena banyak konselor yang belum mengetahui bahkan menguasai metode dan praktik konseling play therapy  yang bisa menjadi pilihan dalam membantu menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dialami konseli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan konseling metode play therapy di Sekolah.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Langkah-langkah untuk menjaga ketepatan pengkajian pustaka, yaitu melakukan pengecekan antar pustaka dan mencegah serta mengatasi misinformasi dalam analisis data dengan membaca ulang pustaka serta memperhatikan komentar pembimbing. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Penerapan konseling metode play therapy  sebagai intervensi efektif dalam meningkatkan dan juga menurunkan problematik psikologis, 2) Prosedur pelaksanaan konseling metode play therapy dilakukan dengan bermacam-macam penerapan jumlah sesi dan tahapan, 3) Metode atau teknik yang digunakan dalam penerapan konseling metode play therapy bermacam-macam, 4) Ruang lingkup penerapan konseling metode play therapy  adalah individu atau kelompok dalam lingkup sekolah, jenjang pra sekolah hingga sekolah menengah pertama, 5) Saran  atau rekomendasi untuk penerapan konseling metode play therapy  adalah dengan mempertimbangkan jumlah subyek, waktu pelaksanaan, sesi, usia, keadaan subyek, keterlibatan orang lain khususnya orang tua, mencoba pendekatan-pendekatan lain dan juga metode atau aktivitas lain, menyempurnakan teori, metode dan hasil penelitian.

This research was conducted because many counselors didn’t yet know and even mastered the metods and practices of play therapy counseling that could be an option in helping to solve the problems experienced by the counselee. This research aims to describe  the implementation of play therapy counseling methods in school. The method of this research was using library research. The data collection method used in this research is documentation and the data analysis technique  used is content analysis Steps to maintain the accuracy of the literature review process, namely checked between literature and preventing and prevent misinformation in the data analysis by re-read the literature and paying attention to the advisor’s comments. The research of this study are 1) The application of play therapy method counseling as an affective intervention in improving and also reducing psychological problems. 2) The procedure of play therapy counseling methods is carried out with a variety of applications for the number of sessions and stages. 3) The methods or technique used in the application of counseling methods to play therapy varies. 4) Scope and objectives of play therapy counseling methods are individuals or groups within the scope of school, preschool to junior high school. 5) Suggestion or recommendation for the application of play therapy methods counseling is to consider the number of subjects, timeof implementation, session, age, subject conditions, involvement of the other people, especially parents, try other approaches as well as other methods or activities, perfect theories, methods and results research.
