This research is a research development, namely the
development of multimedia lectora inspire to improve students' critical
thinking skills in solving story problems on class V cube and cuboid. Students
improve students' critical thinking skills in solving story problems about cubes
and cuboids. The purpose of this research is to produce a multimedia lectora
inspire that is valid, practical, and effective in class V cube and block
material, as well as to describe an increase in critical thinking skills in
solving story problems in class V using multimedia lectora inspire. This type
of research is research and development (R&D) using the DDDE model, namely
decide, design, develop, and evaluate. The research subjects in the small group
trial consisted of 25 students and at the large group stage consisted of 40
students at SDN Wonokusumo VI / 45 Surabaya in the 2019/2020 academic year.
This study produces a
feasible multimedia lectora inspire that meets the criteria of validity,
practicality and effectiveness. In small group trials, the average N-Gain score
of students' critical thinking abilities after using multimedia Lectora Inspire
was 0.65 which was classified as the moderate category and obtained classical
learning completeness by 84%, while in large group trials, the average score
N-Gain students' critical thinking ability after using multimedia lectora
inspire is 0.67 which is classified as the moderate category and obtains 87% of
classical learning completeness. Thus multimedia lectora inspire can be used as
an alternative learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills on
cube and cuboid material.
