ANALISIS KENDALA ORANG TUA DALAM MENDAMPINGI STUDY FROM HOME ANAK DISLEKSIA SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19
ANALYSIS OF PARENTS' OBSTACLES IN HELPING STUDY FROM HOME OF DYSLEXIAN CHILDREN DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Kebijakan pemerintah untuk menggantikan pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring selama masa pandemi Covid-19 menjadikan orang tua banyak terlibat dalam mendampingi anak. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kendala orang tua selama melakukan pendampingan belajar anak disleksia di rumah selama pandemi Covid-19. Pendekatan Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode survey. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan orang tua yang memiliki anak dengan disleksia di Yayasan Terapi SEBAYA. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner melalui Google Form yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji keabsahan data triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian adalah kendala yang dialami orang tua dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu karakteristik orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar (emosional orang tua), pemahaman orang tua dalam memahami materi belajar anak, kecakapan orang tua dalam menyampaikan ulang materi yang belum dipahami anak, minat anak untuk belajar di rumah, dan kesiapan fisik maupun mental dari orang tua (kemampuan orang tua dalam membagi waktu antara mendampingi anak belajar dengan pekerjaan). Hasil analisis dari faktor eksternal yaitu instruksi yang kurang jelas dari guru dalam menyampaikan materi dan tugas, lingkungan yang tidak kondusif, kurangnya kemampuan orang tua mengenai pemahaman digital, pelaksanaan kurikulum yang tidak terstruktur dan terjadwal, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai serta biaya pelaksanaan daring yang memerlukan pengeluaran lebih banyak. Artinya terdapat kendala yang dialami oleh orang tua dalam mendampingi Study from Home anak disleksia selama pandemi Covid-19.

The government policy to replace face-to-face learning into online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic made parents more involved in assisting children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the obstacles of parents during learning assistance for dyslexic children at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with survey methods. The subjects in this study are parents who have children with dyslexia SEBAYA Therapy Foundation. Collecting data using a questionnaire technique through google form which is then analyzed using a triangulation data validity test. The result of the research is that the obstacles experienced by parents are influenced by internal factors and external factors. The internal factors are characteristics of parents in assisting children in learning (parents emotional), Parents' knowledge in comprehending children's learning material, the ability of parents to retransmit material that has not been understood by the child, children's interest in learning at home, and physical and mental readiness of parents (the ability of parents to divide time between accompanying children to study and work). The results of the analysis of external factors are unclear instructions from the teacher in delivering material and assignments, unfavorable environment, lack of parental ability regarding digital understanding, implementation of an unstructured and unscheduled curriculum, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as online implementation costs that require more spending. This means that there are obstacles experienced by parents in accompanying Study from Home children with dyslexia during the Covid-19 pandemic.
