Development of Student Worksheets to Train Argumentation Skills Based on the Toulmin Argument Pattern on High School Reaction Rate Material
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Murid berbasis argumentasi ilmiah pada materi laju reaksi submateri faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi, serta mendeskripsikan tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan argumentasi dan hasil belajar murid. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah murid kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Singgahan Tuban. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKM yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, ditinjau dari hasil validasi ahli dengan skor modus konstruk dan isi (kegrafikan) sebesar 5 (sangat valid). LKM dinyatakan praktis, ditunjukkan oleh hasil angket respon murid dengan persentase 98,07% (sangat praktis) dan observasi aktivitas murid yang konsisten relevan pada setiap pertemuan (93%–97%). LKM juga terbukti efektif, ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan argumentasi dan hasil belajar pengetahuan murid berdasarkan uji paired sample t-test dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian, LKM berbasis argumentasi ilmiah dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan argumentasi serta hasil belajar murid pada materi laju reaksi.

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet based on scientific argumentation in the reaction rate material, specifically on the subtopic of factors affecting the reaction rate, and to describe its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ argumentation skills and learning outcomes. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were Grade XI students from a state high school 1 singgahan tuban. The findings reveal that the developed LKM meets the criteria of validity, as indicated by expert validation results with a mode score of 5 (very valid) for both construct and content (graphical) aspects. The LKM was considered practical, as shown by the students’ response questionnaire with a percentage of 98.07% (very practical) and students’ learning activities consistently relevant in each meeting (93%–97%). Furthermore, the LKM was proven to be effective, as evidenced by a significant improvement in students’ argumentation skills and learning outcomes based on the paired sample t-test, with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the scientific argumentation-based LKM is declared feasible to be used as a learning medium that enhances students’ argumentation skills and learning outcomes in the reaction rate material.
