This research aims to measure the feasibility of the electrical control motor trainer with smart
relay and student s’ experiment sheet s which used as learning media in installation of electrical
motors lesson at SMK Negeri 1
Sidoarjo, which includes validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
This
research used the Research and Development Method (R&D)
which consisted of
7 steps such as 1) Potential and problems, 2) Data
collection, 3) Product design, 4) Design validation, 5) Design revision, 6)
Test the product, 7) Product revision . Th is reseach used is the one group pretest-posttest design . The trainer of the media and student s’ experiment sheet s
were conducted on 32 XII graders of
TITL2 in SMK Negeri 1 Sidoarjo. Furthermore, thi s research used validation sheet of the media
and device, practical questionnaire ’s , a lso the student s’ experiment assessment sheet as the instruments .
Moreover, the
results showed the average score of trainer validation was 94,10%, the student s’
experiment sheets was 90,36%, question item was 85,41%,
89,24% for teaching material, 82,25% for lesson plan , affective
domain assessment sheet was 85,42%, cognitive domain assessment sheet was 83,93%, and psychomotor domain
assessment sheet was 84,72% so it
can be categorized very valid. Practically , the average of the student s’ response score was 82,39% so it can be categorized
very practical. For the effectiveness
of affective domain of the students’ learning
outcomes obtained 83,18,
the students’ cognitive
learning outcomes was 81,06, and
average gain score was 0,76, while the students’ psychomotor
learning outcomes showed 80,49, and the students’ problem solving skill outcomes was 81,95 so it can be categorized as
effective. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this study were very
able to produce trainer
and appropriate students’ experiment sheet s which included validity, practicality, and
effectiveness.
