The reseach carrid out is a learning multimedia development reseach that aims to produce basic welding learning multimedia that meet thr proper and effective criteria to increase the interest and effectiveness of learning in class ten of Mechanical Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 of Gempol.
This Multimedia development procedure uses the Luther Sutopo method with the following stages: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Matterial Colecting, (4) Assembly, (5) Testing, (6) Distribution. Data collection on the feasibility of learning multimedia uses a questionnaire while data collection of interests and effectiveness of learning uses pretest and posttest. This media development activity involves material experts, media experts, linguists, subject teachers, and students to get an assessment of learning multimedia.
The results of research on the development of learning media are categorized as suitable for use in the learning process, the value obtained is 88% from the material experts, the assessment of the media experts is 89%, the evaluation of the linguists is 86%, the small group trial evaluation is 89 %, evaluation of large group trials by 88%. All of the validity values based on the Likert scale are included in the category of very feasible to use. As for the increase in pretest and posttest from the calculation results of the N-Gain score, a value of 0.585 is obtained so that based on the interpretation criteria of the N-Gain Score, the value can be stated that there is an increase in student learning outcomes that fall into the medium category. Students' interest in learning multimedia is 87% so that it can be categorized high, while the effectiveness of student learning in multimedia learning is 89% so that it can be categorized effectively.
