ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SMA/MA DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP GETARAN HARMONIK
ANALYSIS SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR RELATION WITH UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF HARMONIC VIBRATION
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan proses sains dan pemahaman konsep getaran harmonik siswa SMA/MA beserta kaitannya berdasarkan gender. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada empat sekolah di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yaitu SMA Negeri 2 Sidoarjo, MA Negeri Sidoarjo, SMA Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo, dan MA Al Islamiyah Sidoarjo. Sampel sekolah dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA pada empat sekolah sebanyak 144 siswa, terdiri dari 66 siswa laki-laki dan 78 siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian berupa 14 soal keterampilan proses sains dan kognitif berbentuk pilihan ganda, yang valid dan reliabel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: a) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, b) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pemahaman konsep getaran harmonik siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, c) aspek keterampilan proses sains yang memiliki persentase terendah pada siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan adalah mengidentifikasi variabel dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 42,53% dan 37,92%, sedangkan aspek keterampilan proses sains yang memiliki persentase tertinggi adalah merumuskan hipotesis sebesar 75,04% dan 83,14%, dan d) berdasarkan analisis korelasi, diketahui bahwa kaitan antara keterampilan proses sains dan pemahaman konsep getaran harmonik siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dari pada siswa perempuan.

This study purposes are to analyze the science process skills and understanding the concept of harmonic vibration of high school students and their relation based on gender. The study was conducted at four schools in Sidoarjo Regency, namely SMA Negeri 2 Sidoarjo, MA Negeri Sidoarjo, SMA Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo, and MA Al Islamiyah Sidoarjo. These School samples were selected by random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 144 students of class X(ten) in science major at four schools, consisting of 66 male students and 78 female students. The research instrument was in the form 14 of multiple choice questions about science and cognitive process skills which is valid and reliable with online data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that a) there is no significant difference between the science process skills of male and female students, b) there is no significant difference between the conceptual understanding of male and female students. c) For male and female students, the aspect of science process skills that has the lowest percentage is identifying variabels with values of 42,53% and 37,92%. Meanwhile, the aspect of science process skills that has the highest percentage is formulate a hypotesis with values of 75,04% and communicating with values of 83,14%. d) based on correlation analyze, it is known that the relation between science process skills and understanding the concept of harmonic vibrations of male students is higher than female students.
