EFFECTIVENESS OF POWTOON BASED LEARING TO

School closures have affected school structure and learning. The former can affect
teaching and assessment methodology. Teaching for learners is not only
distrubted by school closures. The lockdown also affected the assessment of
learners. For teachers and students, it is of new era of education. With this
outbreak, inevitably teachers have to use distance learning, and are required
to be able to adapt so that learning is carried out through media and
technology. Looking at the existing problems, researchers will use powtoon-based
media. The purpose of this development research is to determine the feasibility
and effectiveness in elementary school class V science subjects to student
learning outcomes. This research method uses the borg and gall model
development method, but research only use the development of up to 7 stage of
research. Tehe subjects of this study were class V learners who numbered 30
students on a limited scale. The result of research that has been carried out
by researchers show that powtoon media can improve student learning outcomes by
obtaining a percentage of limited-scale respondents’ result of 77,3 %, material
validation test 80 %, media validation test 76,5%. It can be concluded that tis
medium is interesting, very worthy and effectively used in the learning
process.
