Using Powtoon Animation Video Media on Earth and Solar System Material to Increase Student Motivation and Learning Outcomes

       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media video animasi powtoon pada materi bumi dan tata surya. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VII A MTs Negeri 4 Siodarjo dengan jumlah sampel 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar angket motivasi belajar dan lembar tes tulis pre-test dan post-test. Data didapatkan melalui hasil angket motivasi belajar ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) dan tes tulis pada level kognitif memahami hingga menganalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa sebelum pembelajaran sebesar 57,75% dengan kategori kurang dan setelah pembelajaran sebesar 87,11% dengan kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari N-gain sebesar 0,62 dengan kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media video animasi powtoon pada materi bumi dan tata surya dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

        This research aims to describe the increase in student motivation and learning outcomes after using Powtoon animation video media on earth and solar system material. This type of research is pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test design. This research was carried out in class VII A of MTs Negeri 4 Siodarjo with a sample size of 32 students. The instruments used in this research were a learning motivation questionnaire sheet and pre-test and post-test written test sheets. Data was obtained through the results of the ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) learning motivation questionnaire and written tests at the cognitive level of understanding to analysis. The results of this research show an increase in student learning motivation before learning by 57.75% in the poor category and after learning by 87.11% in the very good category. The increase in student learning outcomes was obtained from an N-gain of 0.62 with medium criteria. Based on these results, it shows that the use of Powtoon animation video media on earth and solar system material can increase student motivation and learning outcomes.
