ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KEGIATAN SISWA BERBASIS CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING PADA MATERI LAPISAN BUMI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kegiatan siswa berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning pada materi lapisan bumi yang memenuhi kelayakan berdasarkan kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada tingkat pemahaman. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada model 4D yaitu pendefinisian, perencanaan, dan tahap pengembangan (tanpa melalui tahap penyebaran). Lembar kegiatan siswa yang dikembangkan terdiri atas tiga pokok bahasan yaitu atmosfer, litosfer dan hidrosfer. Hasil validasi lembar kegiatan siswa berdasarkan syarat didaktik diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 3,70 dengan interpretasi sangat valid, syarat konstruksi diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 3,44 dengan interpretasi valid, dan syarat teknis diperoleh skor ratarata sebesar 3,33 dengan interpretasi valid. Analisis kepraktisan dilihat melalui skor keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan modus atau nilai yang sering muncul pada pertemuan pertama sampai ketiga masuk dalam kategori sangat baik dan hasil respon siswa dengan modus atau kategori yang sering muncul adalah sangat baik. Adapun keefektifan dilihat dari kemampuan kognitif siswa tingkat pemahaman yang mengalami peningkatan berdasarkan hasil n-gain. Terdapat dua kategori n-gain yang diperoleh dari analisis pemahaman konsep siswa yaitu kategori sedang sebanyak 29% dan kategori tinggi sebanyak 71% dari 31 siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah lembar kegiatan siswa berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning sudah memenuhi kelayakan valid, praktis, dan efektif. ABSTRACT THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT’S ACTIVITY SHEET BASED ON CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING IN EARTH LAYER MATERIAL TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S COGNITIVE ABILITY
This research aims to develop Student’s activity sheets based on Contextual Teaching and Learning in earth layer material that fulfill feasibility based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve student’s cognitive ability. This development research study refers to the 4D model, there are design, design and develop (without disseminate stage). The developed of student’s activity sheets consist of three topics, atmosphere, lithosphere and hydrosphere. The results of student’s activity sheets validation based on didactic conditions obtained an average score of 3.70 with very valid interpretations, construction requirements obtained an average score of 3.44 with valid interpretations, and technical requirements obtained an average score of 3.33 with valid interpretations. Practical analysis was seen through implementation score of learning which is the mode or value that often appears in the first to third meetings included in the very good category and the results of student responses which is the mode or category that often appear are very good. The effectiveness was seen from student’s cognitive level of understanding outcomes which has increased based on the results of n-gain. There are two categories of n-gain obtained from the analysis of student’s cognitive level of understanding outcomes, the moderate category at 31,3%, and the high category at 68,7% from 31 students. The conclution of this research is that student’s activity sheets based on Contextual Teaching and Learning has met validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
