Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan validitas, kelayakan kepraktisan, dan kelayakan keefektifan bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan literasi sains. Adapun metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil kelayakan validitas menunjukkan persentase 100,00% dengan kategori sangat layak digunakan. Hasil analisis kepraktisan menunjukkan persentase 92,59% kategori sangat baik dan respon siswa sebesar 95,06% kategori sangat baik. Kelayakan keefektifan melalui tes kemampuan literasi sains mengalami peningkatan dengan NGain sebesar 0,79. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar dengan materi Indera Penglihatan dan Alat Optik yang berorientasi literasi sains dapat layak digunakan.

The aim of this research is to describe feasibility of validity, feasibility of practicality, and the feasibility of the effectiveness of teaching materials to improve scientific literacy. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) with quantitative descriptive analysis. The feasibility of validity gets a percentage of 100,00% with a category very feasible to use. Practical analysis results showed a percentage of 92,59% with a very good category and student responses of 95,06% with a very good category. The feasibility of effectiveness through tests of scientific literacy skills has increased with N-Gain of 0,79. iIt Shows that teaching materials with the scientific literacy-oriented of visual sense and optical devices material could be feasible to use.
