Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa signifikan pengaruh pendekatan saintifik terhadap penguasaan konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa. Responden penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Pegirian II / 495 Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, sedangkan kelas konüol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterlaksanaan skor rata-rata pada kelas kontrol diperoleh 3,5 dengan persentase 87,5% dan pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh 3,63 dengan persentase 90,8%. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 83,3, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok kontrol sebesar 74,6. Hasil rata-rata data motivasi belajar pada kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 16,1. Sedangkan hasil rata-rata data motivasi belajar siswa pada kelompok kontrol menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 9,2. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji independent t test berbantuan progam SPSS, yang menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang penguasaan konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen terhadap kelas kontrol.
Berdasarkan hasil peneliüan tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan terbukti yaitu pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.

This study aims to determine how significant the influence of the scientific approach to the ability to mastery of the concepts and student motivation. The research respondents were students in grade IV SDN Pegirian II / 495 Surabaya. This research is a quasi experimental study with the research design used is nonequivalent control group design. The experimental class uses a scientific approach, while the control class uses a conventional learning model. Research data obtained through pretest and posttest in the experimental class and the control class.
The results showed that the average feasibility of the average score in the control class was 3.5 with a percentage of 87.5% and in the experimental class it was obtained 3.63 with a percentage of 90.8%. The average posttest score of the experimental group was 83.3, while the average posttest score of the control group was 74.6. The results of the average learning motivation data in the experimental group showed an increase in student motivation by 16.1. While the average results of student learning motivation data in the control group showed an increase in student motivation by 9.2. The results of the study were analyzed using the independent t test with the help of the SPSS program, which showed that there was an influence on the ability to mastery of the concepts and student motivation in the experimental class against the control class.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the proposed hypothesis is proven that the scientific approach influences the ability to mastery of the concepts and student motivation in learning science class IV Elementary School.
