KARAKTER PEDULI SISWA KELAS I SEKOLAH DASAR MELALUI PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL ULAR NAGA PANJANG BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL
CARING CHARACTER OF GRADE I ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH THE TRADITIONAL GAME OF THE LONG DRAGON SNAKE BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM
Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu tujuan utama pendidikan dasar, khususnya pada jenjang kelas awal Sekolah Dasar. Permainan tradisional dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter dan budaya. Permainan tradisional yangmengangkat kearifan lokal memberikan pengaruh besar dalam membentuk karakter anak. Permainan tradisional seperti Ular Naga Panjang disukai anak, mendorong kebersamaan, dan memperkuat karakter peduli.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan dan implementasi permainan tradisional Ular Naga Panjang berbasis kearifan lokal dalam membentuk karakter peduli siswa, serta menganalisis efektivitasnya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas awal di Fase A yaitu kelas I SD. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan guru. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan permainan Ular Naga Panjang berbasis kearifan lokal dalam Pembelajaran dapat menumbuhkan karakter peduli siswa. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara yang menggambarkan siswa terlihat antusias mengikuti permainan dan lagu, serta aktif menggunakan ungkapan peduli tanpa disuruh. Salah satu bukti konkret adalah perubahan perilaku siswa saat ada teman yang terjatuh selama permainan.Beberapa siswa spontan membantu teman yang terjatuh tersebut
Permainan tradisional ini efektif membangun rasa kebersamaan dan kepekaan sosial karena mengandung nilai-nilai lokal seperti musyawarah, ketulusan, dan solidaritas. Kesimpulannya, permainan tradisional Ular Naga Panjang berbasis kearifan lokal dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk menanaman karakter peduli pada siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar .

Character education is one of the main goals of primary education, particularly at the early grades of elementary school. Traditional games can be utilized as a means to instill character and cultural values. Traditional games that incorporate local wisdom have a significant influence on shaping children's character. Traditional games such as Long Dragon Snake are favored by children, encourage togetherness, and strengthen the character of caring. This study aims to describe the development and implementation of the traditional game Ular Naga Panjang based on local wisdom in shaping students' caring character, as well as to analyze its effectiveness.
The subjects of this study were early-grade students in Phase A, specifically first-grade elementary school students. The instruments used included
observations, documentation, and interviews with teachers. Data analysis was carried out through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the application of the traditional Long Dragon Snake Game based on local wisdom in learning can foster students' caring character. This is supported by observations, documentation, and interviews, which depict students enthusiastically participating in the game and song, as well as actively using caring expressions without being prompted. One concrete piece of evidence is the change in students' behavior when a friend falls during the game; several students spontaneously help the friend who has fallen.
This traditional game is effective in building a sense of togetherness and social sensitivity because it contains local values such as deliberation, sincerity, and solidarity. In conclusion, the traditional Long Dragon Snake Game based on local
wisdom can serve as an alternative learning strategy for instilling a caring character in first-grade elementary school students.
