THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING MATERIALS BASED ON CONTEXTUAL ACCOUNTING
PRACTICE SUBJECTS FOR VOCATIONAL CLASS XI COMPETENCIES IN ACCOUNTING AND
FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

This development research aims to produce teaching materials in the form
of textbook for institution accounting practice subject based on contextual for class XI Vocational
accounting and financial institutions competencies in order to
improve students understanding of the material that being taught , knowing the feasibility and response of students to ward teaching materials developed. The subjects of the
trial are 20 students from class XI
accounting and financial institutions competencies at SMK Negeri 4
Surabaya. The development model
that is
used in this research is 4-D, which is consist of four stages among others define , design , develop and disseminate . However, this study without
conducting the disseminate stage and the analysis
technique used in this study was descriptive qualitative and quantitative.
The results of this development study show s that the feasibility from material experts, linguists,
and graphic experts in a row obtained a percentage of 84 , 28%, 7 4,76 % and 8 6, 8 4 % with an average feasibility
of 81 ,96 %, while the average response
of students obtained a percentage of 93%. Therefore, this teaching materials based contextual for institution accounting practice subjects
class XI Vocational competence accounting and financial institutions are stated to be very feasible to use in learning
activities because it can improve students understanding toward the material
that being taught.
