In
the world of education, learning media plays a role as a liaison between
teachers and students to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and science.
This study focuses on the development of interactive multimedia as one form of
learning media. The purpose of this development research is to determine the
feasibility and effectiveness of use on the material of living things and their
environment in the subject of natural and social sciences for class X at
Vocational High School 1 Driyorejo and to produce interactive multimedia that
effectively improves learning outcomes on the material of living things and
their environment in the subject of natural and social sciences for class X at Vocational
High School 1 Driyorejo.
This
study uses a quantitative descriptive method, the model used is the DDD-E
(Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate) development model. Data collection was
carried out using observation data techniques, questionnaires and tests.
Observations aim to assess the use of the multimedia developed. Questionnaires
are used to determine the feasibility of the multimedia developed, tests aim to
measure student learning outcomes.
The
results of data analysis of the development of interactive multimedia on the
material of living things and their environment in the subject of natural and
social sciences for class X at Vocational High School 1 Driyorejo. Based on
material validation, 92% were obtained very and media validation with a
percentage of 92% very and validation of learning design experts with a
percentage of 93% very. The results of the normality test can be concluded that
the pre-test value of the experimental class is 0.098 and the post-test of the
experimental class is 0.314. The learning outcomes are different between the
experimental class that uses interactive multimedia games and the control class
that does not. This shows that the use of interactive multimedia games is an
effective learning strategy. Referring to the entire discussion above, it can
be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia games is effective in the
subject of science, the subject of living things and their environment for
class X at Vocational High School i 1 Driyorejo.
