THE EFFECTIVENESS OF UTILIZING SUGGESTION RELAXATION IN IMPROVING POETRY WRITING SKILLS IN STUDENTS AT MAN 3 KEDIRI
Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan suggestion relaxation dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menciptakan puisi. Penelitian ini berjenis eksperimen karena menguji dua variabel dan terdapat pengaruh pada salah satu variabel. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif sehingga data yang dihasilkan dapat digeneralisasikan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes yakni tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) menulis puisi, terdapat dua kelas penelitian sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Setiap kelas berjumlah 29 siswa. Analisis tes diuji menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil uji independent sample t test diperoleh t hitung 8.690 dengan p=0,000, df=56, dan t tabel=2.003. Signifikan (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0,05, dan 8.690>2.003 terdapat perbedaan signifikan sehingga Ha diterima dam H0 ditolak. Artinya setelah dilakukan pembelajaran terdapat pengaruh antara metode suggestion relaxation terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Hasil perhitungan uji n-gain , menunjukkan hasil nilai rata-rata n-gain suntuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 50,8404 atau 50,84%, nilai minimal 11,13%, dan nilai maksimal sebesar 79,99%. Kemudian nilai rata-rata n-gain kelas kontrol sebesar 5,0536 atau 5,05%, nilai minimal -50,02%, dan nilai maksimal 53,85%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode suggestion relaxation kurang berpengaruh dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan menciptakan puisi pada kelas X Man 3 Kediri tahun ajaran 2021/2022.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of suggestion relaxation in improving poetry writing skills. This research is an experimental type because it examines two variables and there is an effect on one of the variables. This research is quantitative so that the resulting data can be generalized. Data were collected using observation and tests, namely pre-test and post-test in writing poetry, there were two research classes as experimental class and contol class. Each class consists of 29 students. Test analysis was tested using SPSS software. The results of the independent sample t test obtained t count 8690 with p = 0.000, df = 56, and t table = 2.003. Significant (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, and 8.690>2003 there is a significant difference so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that after learning there is an influence between the suggestion relaxation method on students' poetry writing skills. The results of the n-gain test calculation show that the average n-gain value for the experimental class is 50.8404 or 50.84%, the minimum value is 11.13%, and the maximum value is 79.99%. Then the average value of n-gain for the control class is 5.0536 or 5.05%, the minimum value is -50.02%, and the maximum value is 53.85%. It can be concluded that the use of the suggestion relaxation method is not effective in improving poetry writing skills in class X Man 3 Kediri in the 2021/2022 academic year.
