Abstrak
Novel Jagade Kanisthan karya Tulus Setiyadi merupakan salah satu novel yang membahas tentang citra perempuan. Citra perempuan adalah suatu gambaran tentang perempuan dalam novel yang dijelaskan menggunakan kata, frasa atau kalimat. Seperti penelitian yang akan diteliti ini yaitu tentang citra perempuan dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) bisa mengetahui citra perempuan dari aspek psikis dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan, (2) bisa mengetahui citra perempuan dari aspek keluarga dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan, lan (3) bisa mengetahui citra perempuan dari aspek masyarakat dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori feminisme , lebih tepatnya feminism sosialis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu novel Jagade Kanisthan. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data ada tida tahapan yaitu mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan.  Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) adanya citra perempuan menurut aspek psikis dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan itu ada tiga, yaitu tekad kuat, belas kasihan, dan sikap ramah. Tiga aspek psikis itu ada dalam tokoh Widya dan Ningsih. Ada suatu alasan dan tujuan yang menjadikan tokoh tersebut mempunyai tiga aspek yang telah disebutkan, karena tokoh tersebut sudah pernah mengalami dan merasakan kejadian yang kurang baik dalam hidupnya. (2) adanya citra perempuan menurut aspek keluarga dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan seperti berbakti kepada orang tua dan adanya upaya membantu kebutuhan keluarga. (3) adanya citra perempuan menurut aspek masyarakat dalam novel Jagade Kanisthan yaitu tokoh yang bekerja menjadi pedagang supaya kebutuhan hidupnya tercukupi dan adanya status sosial pada tokoh Ningsih sebagai jandha yang ditinggal mati oleh suaminya dan citra sosial dari Widya yang dicitrakan sebagai anak dari orang tua yang tidak mampu.

Abstract

The novel Jagade Kanisthan by Tulus Setiyadi is one of the novels that discusses the image of women. The image of women is a description of women in the novel which is explained using words, phrases or sentences. Like the research that will be researched, namely about the image of women in the novel Jagade Kanisthan. The aims of this research are (1) to know the image of women from the psychological aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel, (2) to know the image of women from the family aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel, and (3) to know the image of women from the societal aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel. . The theory used is the theory of feminism, more precisely socialist feminism. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research is the novel Jagade Kanisthan. While the technique used to analyze the data there are three stages, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are (1) there are three images of women according to the psychological aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel, namely strong determination, compassion, and friendly attitude. The three psychic aspects are in the characters of Widya and Ningsih. There is a reason and purpose that makes the character have the three aspects that have been mentioned, because the character has experienced and felt bad events in his life. (2) there is an image of women according to the family aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel such as being devoted to parents and efforts to help the family's needs. (3) the image of women according to the societal aspect in the Jagade Kanisthan novel, namely the character who works as a trader so that his needs are fulfilled and the social status of the Ningsih character as a widow who is left behind by her husband and the social image of Widya who is imaged as the child of parents who Not capable.
