SENIMAN WAYANG THENGUL DI KABUPATEN BOJONEGORO TAHUN 2000-2010

   Seniman wayang merupakan orang-orang yang berkecimpung dalam dunia seni pewayangan.  Seniman wayang thengul di Bojonegoro terbilang cukup langka mengingat kesenian wayang thengul yang saat ini mulai punah akibat perkembangan zaman. Banyak generasi penerus yang tidak mengetahui keberadaan wayang thengul di Bojonegoro. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Kehidupan Seniman-Seniman Wayang Thengul di Kabupaten Bojonegoro tahun 2000-2018.

Penelitian disusun berdasarkan rumusan masalah sebagai berikut : 1) Mengapa Mereka Memilih Menjadi Seniman Wayang Thengul 2) Bagaiman Kehidupan Seniman Wayang Thengul 3) Kontribusi Seniman Dalam Upaya Pelestarian Wayang Thengul. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah meliputi  1) Heuristik, mengumpulkan sumber wawancara seniman pengrajin Wayang Thengul dan seniman dalang Wayang Thengul, buku yang relevan, dan berita tentang seniman Wayang Thengul, 2) Kritik terhadap sumber menemukan fakta bahwa terjadi kemunduran eksistensi Wayang Thengul yang berpengaruh pada kehidupan seniman-seniman Wayang Thengul, 3) Interpretasi mengkaitkan fakta bahwa dalam kemunduran eksistensi Wayang Thengul, para seniman masih tetap berupaya melestarikan kesenian Wayang Thengul dan 4) Historiografi, sebagai hasil akhir penelitian yang sesuai dengan tema penelitian.

Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang bagaimana proses para seniman menjadi seniman Wayang Thengul, serta upaya para seniman Wayang Thengul untuk mengangkat kembali kiprah Wayang Thengul yang mengalami kemunduran eksistensi. Kemunduran eksistensi Wayang Thengul diakibatkan adanya degradasi kebudayaan, masyarakat lebih memilih kebudayaan yang lebih baru dan meninggalkan kebudayaan lamanya sehingga keberadaan Wayang Thengul hanya diketahui oleh masyarakat tertentu.

ABSTRACT
WAYANG THENGUL ARTIST IN BOJONEGORO DISTRICT

IN 2000-2018

Puppet artists are people who are involved in the world of puppet art. Puppet thengul artists in Bojonegoro are quite rare considering the wayang thengul art which is now extinct due to the development of the times. Many future generations do not know of the existence of the puppet thengul in Bojonegoro. The purpose of this study was to find out the Life of Thengul Puppet Artists in Bojonegoro Regency in 2000-2018.
The research was arranged based on the formulation of the problem as follows: 1) How the Background or Process of Artists Becomes Artists 2) How the Thangul Puppet Artists Live 3) How the Thengul Puppet Preservation Efforts by Artists.The methods used in this study are historical research methods including 1) Heuristics, gathering sources of interviews with wayang Thengul artisans and puppet mastermind Thengul artists, relevant books, and news about wayang Thengul artists, 2) Criticism of sources found the existence of a decline in existence wayang Thengul which influences the life of puppet artists in Thengul, 3) Interpretation relates the fact that in the decline of the existence of wayang Thengul, artists are still trying to preserve the art of puppet Thengul and 4) historiography, as the end result of research in accordance with the research theme.

The results of this study explain how the process of the artists became wayang Thengul artists, as well as the efforts of the wayang Thengul artists to revive the wayang Thengul's gait which experienced a decline in existence. The deterioration in the existence of wayang Thengul was caused by the degradation of culture, the people preferred a newer culture and left the old culture so that the existence of wayang Thengul was only known by certain communities.
