Lokadrama "Lara Ati" is
a film series that has a comedy drama genre. In the film, actors often use
maxim deviation for the purpose of creating humor. The purpose of this study is
to understand how the deviations from the principles of cooperation and politeness
exist, as well as the goals contained in the humorous language of the
"Lara Ati" lokadrama. In this study, researchers used pragmatic
studies and the method used was descriptive qualitative with synchronic
linguistic characteristics. The technique used in this study is the technique
of observing and noting. The data that has been collected will then be
transcribed and grouped according to the data table that has been prepared. The
results of this study are, 1) the form of deviation from the principle of
cooperation used to create humor in the drama "Lara Ati" produces
four types, namely deviation from the maxims of quality, quantity, relevance,
and manner/implementation. The most frequently used to bring up humor is
deviation from the maxims of quality and quantity. 2) the form of deviation
from the politeness maxim used to create humor produces six types, namely
deviation from the maxim of tact, generosity, approbation maxim, modesty maxim,
agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim. What often results in humor is the
deviation of the maxim of approbation. 3) the objectives contained in the
humorous language in the drama "Lara Ati" are divided into seven
objectives, namely the purpose of explaining the intent/message, the purpose of
paradox, educating, entertaining, expression self-esteem, tolerance, and
critical attitude. In this study what is often used is for entertaining
purposes.
