Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, motivasi, dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan metode spot capturing. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Rengel dengan sampel sebanyak tiga kelas dengan satu kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas replikasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, angket dan tes. Berdasarkan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, data yang diperoleh terdistribusi normal dan sampel berasal dari varians yang homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan metode spot capturing terlaksana dengan sangat baik dengan persentase keterlaksanaan di kelas X MIPA 2 sebesar 88%, sedangkan di kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 3 sebesar 86% dan 87%; 2) Motivasi belajar siswa di kelas X MIPA 2 meningkat dari 59,63% menjadi 79,26%, di kelas X MIPA 1 meningkat dari 53,54% menjadi 79,32%, sedangkan di kelas X MIPA 3 meningkat dari 55,63% menjadi 80,00%. Berdasarkan analisis n-gain, motivasi belajar siswa meningkat dalam kategori sedang di tiap kelas; 3) Berdasarkan analisis uji-t berpasangan dan n-gain, hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan mengalami perbedaan dan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kategori sedang di setiap kelasnya. Hasil belajar siswa aspek keterampilan pada pertemuan pertama dan pertemuan kedua berada dalam kategori baik di setiap kelasnya. Berdasarkan hal di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan metode spot capturing dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning, motivation and the result of student learning to apply the cooperative learning model of STAD type with the spot capturing method. The kind of research used pre-experimental design. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Rengel Tuban with three sample classes with one experiment class dan two replication classes. The technique of collecting data is observation method, questionnaire, and test. Based on normality test and homogenity test of pre-test and post-test values obtained were normally distributed and the sample used is homogeneous. The result showed: 1) The implementation of cooperative learning model of STAD type with spot capturing method carried out very well with the percentage of implementation in X MIPA 2 was 88%, while in X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 3 was 86% and 87%; 2) Student’s motivation of X MIPA 2 increased from 59.63% to 79.26%, X MIPA 1 increased from 53.54% to 79.32%, while in X MIPA 3 increased from 55.63% to 80.00%.  Based on analysis of n-gain student’s motivation increased in the medium category in each class; 3) Based on paired t-test dan n-gain analysis, the result of student learning of knowledge aspect in each class were difference and increase significant in medium category. The result of student learning of skills aspect in the first and second meeting were in a well category in each class. Based on above, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of STAD type with spot capturing method can improve student’s motivation and the result of student learning.
