Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan regulasi emosi pada siswa di SMP X Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 244 siswa di SMP X Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan ialah skala keberfungsian keluarga dan skala regulasi emosi. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah korelasi product moment. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,504 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan regulasi emosi yang positif dan signifikan yang berarti semakin tinggi keberfungsian keluarga, maka semakin tinggi pula regulasi emosi yang dimiliki.

The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between family functioning and emotion regulation on student of private Junior High School X Surabaya. This research used quantitative research methods. Subject in this research were 244 students of private Junior High School X Surabaya. The data were collected using learning family functioning scale and emotion regulation scale. The data were analysed using product moment correlation. The results showed the value of correlation coefficient of 0,504 with a probability level of 0,000 (p<0,05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relation between family functioning with emotion regulation on students of private Junior High School X Surabaya which mean that the higher the family functioning, the higher the emotion regulation.
