PKBM Kak
Seto Surabaya has a non-academic program, namely Friday class. The need to
accommodate students' talents and interests, increase students' creativity.
Friday Class applies a project-based learning model which is considered
effective in increasing students' creativity. Students are invited to develop
creativity through the products produced in this program. This research aims to
1) Describe and analyze the implementation of the project-based learning model
in the Friday class program at PKBM Kak Seto Surabaya. 2) Describe and analyze
the increase in creativity of students equivalent education package A during
project-based learning in the Friday class program.
This
research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques
of participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Research
conducted at PKBM Kak Seto Surabaya used data collected directly during the
research as a data source. The data analysis that researchers used in this
research was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing
conclusions.
The research
results show that the implementation of the project-based learning model in the
Friday class program went well by determining the project, planning the steps,
preparing the implementation schedule, completing the project, preparing
reports and presenting the results, then evaluating the process and results.
The increase in creativity of students pursuing package A during project-based
learning in the Friday class program can be seen from the variety of work
results and student participation which is achieved through several efforts,
namely providing various projects, giving freedom to explore work, and creating
a conducive learning environment by providing facilities. and the necessary infrastructure
and well-structured learning.
