Semesta in the production process has a variety of potential hazards to
occupational safety and health. Starting from 2015 to 2017 there were 21 cases
of workplace accidents that occurred when the work took place. This happens
because the company has not been able to detect all potential hazards of
workplace accidents that exist within the company. In detecting all potential
hazards of work accidents, there is a need to identify hazards, better known as
Job Safety Analysis (JSA). This technique is useful for identifying and
analyzing hazards in a job.
The research conducted is descriptive research with qualitative methods.
Then the risk assessment uses a risk matrix that states the level of risk that
each step of the job has by multiplying the severity and likelihood level so
that the level of risk can be known whether the risks are mild, moderate,
severe, or extreme.
At high risk 1 potential hazard is found, namely the risk of being hit
by material when lifting with a forklift. Then to the risk of being found 10
potential hazards, namely, breathing dust material, hands cut by cutting tools,
high noise levels, hand scratched sharp edges of parts, corrosive hazards,
slipping, colliding with other workers, and eye irritation. For low risk 1
potential hazard is found, that is, during the oven process, the hand is
exposed to the hot side of the plate and hot steam can interfere with
breathing. Whereas for control, control is used by technical, administrative
and personal protective equipment.
