Pengaruh Pendekatan Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Bermedia Kartu Gambar Animasi Terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Non Verbal Pada Siswa Autis

The Impact of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Approach Utilizing Animated Picture Cards on Non Verbal Communication Abilities of Autistic Students

Kemampuan komunikasi non verbal sangat dibutuhkan oleh anak autis karena dapat digunakan untuk melengkapi, mengatur, menggantikan, atau memberi penekanan pada pesan verbal yang disampaikan. Komunikasi non verbal dapat disampaikan menggunakan ekspresi wajah, gerak tubuh, atau suara tanpa unsur linguistik. Di SLBN Pembina Tingkat Nasional Bagian C Malang pada jenjang SDLB, kemampuan komunikasi non verbal siswa autis masih kurang berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pendekatan applied behavior analysis bermedia kartu gambar animasi terhadap kemampuan komunikasi non verbal pada siswa autis di SLBN Pembina Tingkat Nasional Bagian C Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis penelitian pre-experimental design dengan bentuk one-group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, analisis data menggunakan statistik non parametrik dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai Zhitung (Zh) = 2,20 sedangkan nilai Ztabel (Zt) = 1,96. Nilai Zh lebih besar dari nilai Zt yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha  diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pendekatan applied behavior analysis (ABA) bermedia kartu gambar animasi terhadap kemampuan komunikasi non verbal pada siswa autis.

Non verbal communication abilities are truly needed by autistic children since it can be utilized to complement, organize, replace, or emphasize verbal messages uttered. Non verbal communication can be conveyed using facial expressions, body language, or voice without linguistic elements. It turns out that those abilities are still underdeveloped at SLBN Pembina Tingkat Nasional Section C Malang at the SDLB level. This study aims to test the impact of the applied behaviour analysis approach using animated picture cards on non verbal communication abilities in autistic students at SLBN Pembina Tingkat Nasional Section C Malang. This study used a quantitative approach, a pre-experimental design type of research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. In term of data collection techniques, the researched applied tests, while data analysis applied non-parametric statistics with SPSS. The study results found that the value of  Zcount (Zc) = 2,20, while the value of Ztable (Zt) = 1,96. The Zc value was greater than the Zt value, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The study summarized that the applied of behaviour analysis (ABA) approach using animated picture cards has a significant impact toward non verbal communication abilities of autistic students.
