FAMILY QUALITY OF LIFE OF ADOLESCENTS AS VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE
The purpose of this study was to find out how the family quality of life (FQoL) of adolescents who had experienced violence from their parents was not disturbed and recovered. Acts of violence by parents will automatically reduce the quality of life of children. The research method uses phenomenological qualitative with semi-structured interviews as a data collection technique. The technique of interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) was used to analyze the data that had been obtained. Four main themes were identified, namely the experience of adolescents as victims of parental violence; recovery strategies from violent experiences; how to interpret and interpret experiences positively; the current condition of the quality of life of the families of adolescent victims of parental violence. The experience did not affect the participants' FQoL condition because parents realized their mistakes and treatment by apologizing; conduct deliberation; and demonstrate efforts to improve family interactions. Participants also do emotion-focused coping; problem-focused coping; and positive reappraisal to be able to interpret the traumatic experience positively.
