The aim of this research is to determine
the implementation of industrial practice, also to determine the level of
mental readiness of students' work and find out the relationship between the
implementation of industrial practice and mental readiness of class XII
students in light vehicle engineering majors at SMK 3 Jombang.
This research use correlational
quantitative research methods and simple regression. The population is class
XII students of light vehicle engineering majors at SMK 3 Jombang 2018/2019
academic year. This study use a sampling technique, the sampling technique used
is census means that all members of the population are used as samples. There
are two instruments, which are industrial practice instruments and work mental
readiness instruments in the form of questionnaires. In carrying out
statistical calculations, researchers will be assisted by using the SPSS
application.
The results of the research show that: (1)
The implementation of industrial practices in SMK 3 of Jombang is included in
the medium category. This is proven by the percentage trend in the
implementation of industry practices at a moderate level of 60%. (2) The level
of mental readiness of working class XII students in light vehicle engineering
in SMK 3 Jombang is included in the medium category. This has proven by the
percentage trend in the implementation of industrial practices at a moderate
level of 65%; (3) There is a relationship between the implementation of
industrial practices and work mental readiness. This is proven by the results
of product moment correlation analysis which obtained the correlation
coefficient (rxy) with N = 66 of 0.551 and to see its significance by comparing
rcount with rtable at the 5% significance level of 0.244. Data shows that r
count is positive and greater than r table (0.551> 0.244).
