APPLICATION OF PROCESS ORIENTED GUIDED INQUIRY LEARNING (POGIL) MODEL TO IMPROVE CONCEPT UNDERSTANDING
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep setelah diterapkan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL), dan mendeskripsikan respons peserta didik dengan penerapan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-A SMP Labschool Unesa 2. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar tes yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, ada tidaknya perbedaan pemahaman konsep, dan respons peserta didik. Hasil analisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada penerapan model POGIL mendapatkan skor modus 4 dengan kategori sangat baik selama 3 pertemuan. Hasil analisis pemahaman konsep peserta didik terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan penerapan model POGIL. Hasil analisis respons peserta didik mendapatkan respons positif dengan modus respons peserta didik menjawab “Ya” pada pernyataan yang disajikan.

This research aims to describe the implementation of learning with the application of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model to improve concept understanding, describe the improvement of concept understanding after applying the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model, and describe the response of students with the application of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model. learners with the application of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model to improve concept understanding. Subjects used in this study were students of class VIII-A SMP Labschool Unesa 2. The type of research used in this study is pre-experimental research design with one group pretest posttest research design. The data collection technique in this study used a test sheet that was given before and after learning. given before and after learning. The data obtained were analyzed to determine the implementation of learning, the presence or absence of differences in understanding of concepts, and students' responses. The results of the analysis of the implementation of learning on the application of the POGIL model get a mode score of 4 with a very good category for 3 meetings. The results of the analysis of students' concept understanding differences before and after being given treatment with the application of the POGIL model. The results of the analysis of learner responses received a positive response with the mode of response learners answered "Yes" to the statement presented.
