DEVELOPING VIDEO TUTORIAL MEDIA ON CAMERA POSITION SUBJECT IN 2D AND 3D

The purpose of this research
is to develop video tutorial media for the students in grade XI majoring
multimedia at SMKN 2 Buduran in order to resolve the learning problem of camera
position subject in 3-dimensional animation lesson. This media is used to
resolve the complicated stages of camera installation and to present the
visual, motion, and procedural subject.
The research uses R&D
(Research and Development) model by Borg and Gall. This research is conducted
in several stages, namely potential and problem, data collection, design the
product, design validation done by 2 material and media experts, design
revision, product trial done by the individual and small group, product revision
done by 21 students. The next stages are revision and mass production, but they
were not carried out by the researcher.
The results show that the feasibility test of video
tutorial media in 3-dimensional animation with the material experts obtained
100% and with the media experts get 97.9 %. Then, the results of the trial in
the individual are 97.6%, in the small group obtains 94%, and in the large
group get 96.2%. F or the effectiveness test, it
obtains the T-table with a significance level of 5% Db=58=2.000 and the T-count
calculates 2.165. Then, T-count is greater than T-table which is 2.165 >
2.000. Therefore, there is a significant difference in the post-test results
between the experimental class and
the control
class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video tutorial on camera
application in the 3-dimensional animation is effective for learning.
