Media wayang kertas dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita siswa karena media wayang kertas merupakan media visual yang relevan dan unik sehingga siswa tertarik untuk memerhatikan proses pembelajaran. Media wayang kertas dapat mewakili percakapan tokoh-tokoh yang terjadi dalam cerita, sehingga siswa pahami isi dari cerita yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh media wayang kertas terhadap keterampilan bercerita siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Modo Lamongan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Modo Lamongan. Sampel siswa kelas IV SDN Kedunglerep sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV SDN Sambangrejo sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 47,93 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 47,35. Sementara itu, hasil perolehan nilai rata-rata posttest di kelas eksperimen sebesar 81 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 64,41. Penghitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh uji t-test pretest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung 0,210 < ttabel 2,042. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan tidak ada perbedaan antara pretest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sementara itu, uji t-test posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontol diperoleh thitung 7,684 < ttabel 2,042. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media wayang kertas terhadap keterampilan bercerita siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Modo Lamongan. Puppet paper media can improve students storytelling skills because puppet media is a relevant and unique visual media so students are interested in paying attention to the learning process. Paper puppet media can represent conversations between characters that occur in the story, so students understand the contents of the story being conveyed. This study aims to determine the influence of wayang paper media on storytelling skills of fourth grade students in Modo Lamongan Subdistrict Elementary School.
The type of research used was quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was fourth grade students in Modo Lamongan Subdistrict Elementary School. Samples of fourth grade students at Kedunglerep Elementary School as an experimental class and fourth grade students at Sambangrejo Elementary School as a control class. Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, normality test, and hypothesis test.
The results of the study showed that the average experimental class pretest was 47.93 and the control class was 47.35. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest average scores in the experimental class were 81 and the control class was 64.41. Calculation of hypothesis testing obtained pretest t-test experimental class and control class obtained tcount 0.210 <ttable 2.042. Based on these values, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the pretest of the experimental class and the control class. Meanwhile, the t-test posttest experimental class and dick class obtained tcount 7,684 <ttable 2,042. Based on these values, it can be concluded that there is the influence of wayang paper media on storytelling skills in fourth grade students in Modo Lamongan Subdistrict Elementary School.
