Lembaga kursus merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang diadakan untuk memungkinkan anggota masyarakat mendapatkan pendidikan di jalur non formal dengan memberikan keterampilan/ keahlian khusus, bekal pengetahuan, kecakapan hidup dan sikap untuk dapat mengembangkan diri dan dapat bekerja secara mandiri. LKP Desy Education adalah lembaga pendidikan non formal yang berbasiskan melestarikan budaya lokal serta memberdayakan masyarakat dengan menyelenggarakan program kursus dan pelatihan di bidang kepariwisataan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah terkait bagaimana pelaksanaan program kursus pariwisata perhotelan LKP Desy Education sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat melaui pelaksaan program kursus pariwisata perhotelan di LKP Desy Education. Adapun jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik penentuan informan, menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sumber data didapat dari informan kunci dan informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan menggunakan teknik pengolahan data yakni perpanjangan keikutsertaan, ketekunan pengamatan, dan triangualasi. Peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan waktu. Analisis data yang digunakan analis model Mile dan Huberman, yaitu pengumpulan data, penyajian data, dan tahap penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program pariwisata perhotelan LKP Desy Education memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan pendidikan, sosial, ekonomi kepada Masyarakat Banyuwangi.

Desy Education LKP is a non-formal educational institution based on preserving local culture and empowering the community by organizing courses and training programs in the field of tourism. The formulation of the problem in this research is related to how the implementation of the LKP Desy Education hospitality tourism program program as an effort to empower the community of Banyuwangi Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out how the effort of community empowerment through the implementation of hospitality tourism courses in LKP Desy Education. The type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The technique of determining the informant, using purposive sampling technique. Sources of data obtained from key informants and supporting informants. Data collection techniques using interview, observation, documentation, and using data processing techniques, namely the extension of participation, perseverance of observation, and triangualation. Researchers used source, technique, and time triangulation. Analysis of the data used by the Mile and Huberman model analysts, namely data collection, data presentation, and the stage of drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the Desy Education LKP hospitality tourism program had an impact on improving education, social and economy for the Banyuwangi Community.
