PENERAPAN ASSESSMENT PORTOFOLIO UNTUK MENGUKUR
KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI
EKOLOGI DAN KEANEKARAGAMAN HAYATI INDONESIA
IMPLEMENTATION OF PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT TO MEASURE
STUDENTS' COMMUNICATION SKILLS ON INDONESIAN ECOLOGY
AND BIODIVERSITY MATERIAL
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis keterampilan
komunikasi, respon guru dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan assessment
portofolio. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pre-
experimental dan desain penelitian one shot case study. Sasaran penelitian ini
adalah peserta didik kelas VII-B MTs Raden Paku yang berjumlah 26 peserta didik.
Instrumen yang digunakan adalah rubrik penilaian portofolio keterampilan
komunikasi, lembar angket respon guru, lembar angket respon peserta didik dan tes
hasil belajar kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa assessment portofolio
dapat mengukur keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik dengan hasil 65% peserta
didik mendapat kategori baik dan 31% peserta didik mendapat kategori sangat baik.
Dengan nilai rata-rata keterampilan berkomunikasi lisan dan tulisan peserta didik
yang diperoleh sebesar 76 (baik) dan sebesar 77 (baik). Respon guru pada
penerapan assessment portofolio ini mendapat nilai rata-rata 84.37%. Respon
peserta didik selama pembelajaran menggunakan assessment portofolio mendapat
rata-rata 82%. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa assessment
portofolio dapat mengukur keterampilan komunikasi pada materi ekologi dan
keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia

This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of communication skills,
teacher responses and student responses to the use of portfolio assessment. This
type of research is descriptive quantitative with pre-experimental method and one
shot case study research design. The targets of this study were students of class VII-
B MTs Raden Paku, totaling 26 students. The instruments used were
communication skills portfolio assessment rubric, teacher response questionnaire
sheet, student response questionnaire sheet and cognitive learning outcomes test.
The results showed that portfolio assessment can measure students' communication
skills with the results of 65% of students getting a good category and 31% of
students getting a very good category. With the average value of students' oral and
written communication skills obtained by 76 (good) and 77 (good). Teacher
response to the application of this portfolio assessment received an average score
of 84.37%. The response of students during learning using portfolio assessment
gets an average of 82%. From the results of the study it can be concluded that
portfolio assessment can measure communication skills on Indonesian ecology and
biodiversity material.
