         Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian empiris guna mengetahui perbedaan keefektifan antara metode pembelajaran read aloud dengan media gambar seri dengan  metode lain yang biasanya yaitu metode konvensional yaitu metode yang dilakukan dengan cara tradisional yaitu  metode ceramah yang digunakan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa reseptif dan ekspresif pada anak usia dini Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen nonequivalent control group dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari satu variabel bebas dan dua variabel tak bebas. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran read aloud dengan media cerita gambar seri (X). Sedangkan variabel tak bebas dalam penelitian adalah kemampuan bahasa reseptif (Y₁) dan kemampuan berbahasa ekspresif (Y₂).  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 anak kelompok eksperimen (15 anak TK DWP Janti B-1 dan 15 anak TK DWP Wedoro B-2) dan 30 anak kelompok kontrol (15 anak TK DWP Janti B-3 dan 15 anak TK DWP Wedoro B-4). Teknik analisis data dala penelitian menggunakan statistik parametrik uji independent t test.

         Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Metode pembelajaran read aloud dengan media cerita gambar seri lebih efektif dibandingkan metode pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan oleh guru yaitu metode konvensional, metode yang dilakukan dengan cara tradisional dengan metode ceramah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa reseptif pada anak usia dini, secara statistik nilai t_hitung = -2.391 dengan tingkat signifikan p = 0.024 lebih kecil dari 5%; (2) Metode pembelajaran read aloud dengan media cerita gambar seri lebih efektif dibandingkan metode pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa ekspresif pada anak usia dini, secara statistik nilai t_hitung = -2.146 tingkat signifikan p = 0.041 lebih kecil dari 5%. Pada hasil studi ini dapat memberikan wawasan serta inovasi baru dalam keefektifan pemebelajaran metode read aloud pada kegiatan bercerita gambar seri bermanfaat untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa reseptif dan ekspresif anak, dan dapat memberikan pengetahuan serta dapat dijadikan bahan kajian bagi pendidik untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan berbahasa reseptif dan ekspresif dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran read aloud dengan media gambar seri.

         This study aims to conduct an empirical study in order to determine the difference in effectiveness between the read aloud learning method and serial image media with other methods which are usually conventional methods, namely methods carried out in the traditional way, namely the lecture method used by teachers to improve receptive and expressive language skills in students. Early childhood This type of research uses a nonequivalent control group experimental design with a quantitative approach. The variables in this study consisted of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The independent variable in this study is the read aloud learning method with the media story picture series (X). While the dependent variable in the study is receptive language ability (Y1) and expressive language ability (Y2). The samples in this study were 30 children in the experimental group (15 kindergarten children DWP Janti B-1 and 15 kindergarten children DWP Wedoro B-2) and 30 children in the control group (15 kindergarten children DWP Janti B-3 and 15 kindergarten children DWP Wedoro B- 4). The data analysis technique in this study used parametric statistics independent t test.

         The results showed that (1) the read aloud learning method with serial picture story media was more effective than the learning method commonly used by teachers, namely the conventional method, the method carried out in the traditional way with the lecture method to improve receptive language skills in early childhood, generally statistical value of t_test = -2.391 with a significant level of p = 0.024 less than 5%; (2) The read aloud learning method with picture series media is more effective than the learning method commonly used by teachers to improve expressive language skills in early childhood, statistically the value of t_test = -2.146, the significant level of p = 0.041 is less than 5%. The results of this study can provide new insights and innovations in the effectiveness of the read aloud method of storytelling in picture series, which is useful for developing children's receptive and expressive language skills, and can provide knowledge and can be used as study material for educators to improve receptive and expressive language skills by using the read aloud learning method with serial image media.
